Anyone familiar with the Easton EA70 MTB stem? Unusual question!

Anyone familiar with the Easton EA70 MTB oversized stem? Where the stem is attached to the steerer tube does it completedy cover it? For example I have a Race Face and there is a small section cut out at the back presumably to shave off a few grams - please refer to the picture. I am buying the Easton EA70 for my daughter for Christmas and she wants this particular one but it must go all the way around with no "cut outs" at all. I have looked at various pictures but I cannot see the back of the stem to make sure. My local bike shops do not stock Easton. I tried ringing a couple of online retailers but no luck.

Perhaps I should just get her a bloody gift token! Kids! They drive you bonkers!
