Think it spoils it a bit, if I took it off at the time he'd be halfway to Scotland by now

Easiest on computer as you have to select an area to clone then click on the lead etc. Easiest with a mouse if you have fat fingers like me. I suspose a tablet with a stylus would work well.

Depends what you want out of the image really. On screen you'll probably get away with something quick and dirty, but if you're printing you need a proper job out of Photoshop, or similar.
