Anyone got a bike box or travel bag I can borrow?

Anyone in the Yorkshire area got a Bike travel bag or box I can borrow for last weekend in June.
UK travel only - but I don't want to take chance on not getting a train with a fully assembled bike.

Can't justify spending silly money atm on buying, and the hire schemes work out nearly as much as a soft bag. Really need to do this on the cheap if at all possible.

Think laterally here - for UK tours we have an emergency bike bag in case of jobsworth train staff .... it's a large sheet of black non-woven fibre (think J cloth) which is garden weed membrane from B&Q + a roll of tape and some cable-ties. Wheels off, cable tie either side of frame, wrap in sheet and tape up ... for added luxury a short length of webbing tied to stem and seat post and poking through the wrapped up parcel would give you a carry handle.

The emergency bag lives in poly envelope and we post it to the last accommodation booked for the tour (or it's light and small enough to carry with you)

We've only deployed it once - no problem with one of Branson's toytown trains.

Im going to hijack this thread and ask if anyone wants to be so kind as to lend me one too... I'm based in Glasgow.

Full disclosure - im travelling to Spain so it will be out of the country. But I promise to take very good care of it...after all, I'll need it to transport my pride and joy!
