Oh no. I only just read this thread too and I am so sorry for both of you. Both my husband and I have lost siblings, and our parents have therefore lost kids (when we were both kids) so I have an idea of what you're going through. I hope that you get all the support you need.

So it's 4 am and I've just logged onto the swine flu site to order the drugs for my 5 year old who is running a raging temperature with all the symptoms and is scaring me witless.
I had flu earlier this week - nothing to worry about, but now my little one has it and I'm terrified.Feel so sick.

Then I came here. Oh my god.
Blackandblue - the tears are running down my face as I type this.I know there are no words I can say to you that will help in any way, but I'm so sorry.Just so sorry.

Don't think I'm going to be sleeping again tonight..

Just wanted to say thanks for all the kind messages, my family and I appreciate them all. I am sure BlackandBlue will also appreciate them when he returns, kind words and support from friends, family and complete strangers helped my wife and I to get through Bodhi dying. Hopefully BlackandBlue will return soon and he can benefit from all the kindness, comedy, disputes and utter insanity that goes on here as the conversations throughout March/April helped me massively.

The wife had it the week before last. Lasted about 4 days at it's worst. She has since cycled about 36 miles in total. It's not pleasant, but it's really just like a severe dose of influenza with added symptoms. Take lots of over the counter medications, drink loads of water, rest, - and it will pass.
