1962/3, from memory. Headtube badge dates it
All 1962 models have:
  • Claud Butler signature DT decal
  • Small signature fork blade decals
  • Olympic rings on the Seat Tube
  • Model name decal on the Top Tube
It appears they all get the metal headplate.

Frame number will be hard track as there were two companies using the Claud butler Name at that time.

Would the badge have looked the same as the red bike . As though the colouring has gone , I'd say the frame had been hand painted at some time View attachment 113330 View attachment 113331

This appears to be a mid 50s Claud Butler New All rounder.

Old thread I reckon...
Do you have a readout of the frame# on the BB shell or the fork steerer?
A picture of the BB shell lugs and the rear end would also be helpful.

Headtube lugwork is the so-called axe-head bilams common on CB frames form the forties until the close-down of the CB works in 1956, though.

They wanted way to much for this frame, it was in a poor state , so I left it with them , no saying exactly what it was really ,
