Anyone identify this lump in dog's mouth?

The dog is my fiancee's 12 year old male labradoodle. She found what she describes as a lump on the roof of his mouth, to the right hand side.
We managed to get a not very helpful photo but as you can imagine he wasn't being very co-operative while having his jaw forced open for the photography!

The lump or growth is the pale pink thing to the right of fiancee's thumb.
Not been to the vet yet, but keeping an eye on it. If no improvement after Christmas then vet it is.

It looks like Canine Epulidis. It looks similar to what my partners mother's dog had. It was cut out with an operation.

Get him looked at by your vet, keep the picture you have so you can tell if it’s getting bigger and how quickly which can be useful when deciding on treatment.

Thanks. After googling that, it sounds like that may well be the problem. First step, she will need to contact her pet insurance company, apparently. Then presumably the vet.

Normally vet first, then the insurers to make any claim (if worthwhile when excess and other costs/ exclusions taken into account).
