Hi guys, someone recommended I try on here as somewhere with lots of knowledgeable people - today I managed to wreck my rear mech, hanger, chain & possibly wheel. I'm racing next week & desperately trying to find what mech hanger I need to get to replace the broken one.

The bike is a Ridley triton C, the closest match I can find is

http://www.mountainbikecomponents.co.uk/items.asp?CategoryID=266&Name=Ridley+Hanger/Dropouts number 132

or

http://wheelsmfg.com/content/view/621/27/

Only mine doesn't appear to curve at all on the section on the right hand side of the page in both photos, are these going to fit?

It looks a bit like this one (more so than the other two)

Any advice would be much appreciated.

go to a local bike shop, they get loads of companys selling loads of differant hangers, and pges and pges to mach the hangers up...

they should sort you out

and if you can a shop that does ridley will be the best...

yeah seriously this is one of the things that the only real option is to go tothe bike shop, and if its the shop you got the bike from then they realy should, and i would expect them to carry them if they sell the bike...

a mean you could get one of the net that you thought was the same, turns out it isnt then you'll miss your race with the amount of farting on sending it back and forth...

still, even if there's a chance that is the one, get to the bike shop first, dont want to order that one of the net for it to come and be the wrong one and miss your race...

Its a bit daft to go to your local shop if they don't sell ridley! I got 3 shops close to me, and all wouldn't have a clue what a Ridley was.

Check for a dealer on here
http://www.ridley-bikes.com/dealers.php?land=UK

and/or contact Pearsons and/or hargroves who will be bale to get you the hanger.
I'm a big fan of the LBS, but if you got a 'different' bike then you need a shop deals with them!

sualy?

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Sometimes you need to think beyond the easiset answer. what happens if he waits till Monday, goes to shop and they don't have it!!

He can phone some of them shops tomorrow/first thing Monday morning and get one in the post for the weekend.

That's not the one, I will be going to the bike shop first thing tomorrow. I've not much faith in the shop having the part though tbh.

Here are some pics:

Strange, the shop I bought it from isn't listed as a dealer on the ridley site ???

Some bike shops will get the occasional couple of frames as "grey" imports from none official importers, or equally will get a good offer on some frames/bikes that they don't always stock.

I never knew that  still find it a bit strange as they always have ridley in stock (& they're always listed on their site)

But WMD057 is this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=32658 which CRC say is for a Marin
And WMD076 is this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=32722 which CRC say is for a Conquest
And WMD049 is this http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=32514 which CRC say is for a Bianchi

Confused...
Thanks andy, that pretty much confirms to me that I've chosen the right one (076) - I can quite see how the bike might be mis-categorised as a ridley triton carbon (page 8) due to the carbon seatstays & fork. (there is no cabon version of the triton AFAIK)

I've also ordered 111 just in case 076 doesn't fit ;) It should all be arriving tomorrow so I'll let you know what the verdict is

Well we have a winner, 076 doesn't quite line up but 111 is a near perfect fit:biggrin: I'm v relieved I bought both!!

I was on a trip to France a couple of years ago and one guy had his rear mech go into the spokes.
The mech itself was actually OK and the wheel was sorted with a new spoke, but the hanger was trashed.
It then involved a trip round all the bike shops in town, none had a matching hanger, but one had one that was a bit like it and the shop man had a big file....
