Ericsson R250S Pro, bomb proof but I don't want to test that part out myself.
It has however been run over twice and still survives to this day.

I have tested my Xperia Z's water resistance, by submersing it in a muddy puddle after going over the handlebars of my MTB. I can confirm it is still working fine.

I've got the Sony xperia z and it's given me 12 months of trouble free use so far. It's been shoved in a jersey pocket during driving rain cycle rides, operated at 3300 meters in -20 degree c, the camera is great, gps (strava) has never failed and I honestly can't fault it. I was nervous returning to Sony after a bad experience (or two) but now the xperia z1 is looking tempting!
