I tried to make a cup of tea recently. Boiled the kettle, put the milk in the mug, poured the boiling water into the teapot, put the teacosy on, left to stew while I opened the biscuits, removed the teacosy, and poured out...

...boiling water.



I don't even have an excuse...I'm barely out of my teens!

That tea cosy of yours must be a fantastic insulator if you can pour boiling water out of your tea pot after a multi-minute mash.

On the subject of hot drinks- I picked up a carton of milk and pored some into my coffee at a governors' meeting tonight only to discover that it was apple juice. No one spotted the blunder so I blithely added milk and sugar and sat down to drink it.

Quite tasty actually.
