Heard about this on the radio... unfortunately I will have to give this one a miss but is there anyone out there taking part.

11 June start time 3pm

The annual World Naked Bike Ride in Edinburgh starting at Middle Meadow Walk in The Meadows. Cyclists will be stripping off, donning strategically placed fig leaves, paint, thongs, and tape on their naked bods, and hitting the road en masse.

The World Naked Bike Ride takes place each year in around 70 cities in 20 countries. The ride is a fun and peaceful protest against car culture. Why naked?

With the fresh snow on the hills yesterday and the wind today, I would need to wear one heck of a lot of fig leaves to survive outdoors for 20 minutes.

I don't need an organised event for me to go naked on my bike. Mind you, I have been arrested six times so far, with the sixth being something of a struggle as the police were trying to manhandle me into a police car while I was scrabbling at my knickers trying to pull them off while shouting, "Look at my cock!" They're wise to me now, I find that if I take my t-shirt off first, they've got me rugby-tackled to the ground before I've got anywhere near the trousers. But if I go kakless and whip the trousers off first, then I can generally run away from them down the high street for long enough to get my t-shirt at least half way off before they've got their truncheons out.
