Anyone use Canon with Vista, windows 7?

Why not get an old PC, does not need a great spec (spend 30 quid at a computer fair or something) and put a compatible operating system on it if it does not come with one and network it as a simple printer server,

I started this thread simply as a warning. I've never had a manufacturer say what Canon said.

Buy a new computer it tends to come with the newest operating system on it.

What I have works fine, XP Pro service pack 3. I've worked up through the operating systems to this point & I'm not looking at getting "the latest" in operating systems.
