If so, thoughts please. They seem to have 2 types, one heavy use 'supreme' and one that holds its charge for longer 'active something..'.

Is there a noticable difference?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. I use 4 AAA's for one of my front lights (led). They last about 6-8 hrs. They are pretty good.

Cant tell you the mAh rating off the top of my head.

There is a "Hybrid" battery that I use (Uniross Hybrio) thatis slightly more expensive but holds the charge longer. Although less capacity than some they certainly seem to utlast them in low use items such as bicycle lights.

I assume this will be a similar thing with the Duracell.

I prefer the Hybrids.

I just bought some more 2650mAH Supremes £5.10 for a pack of 4 from 7dayshop.com!! excellent value.

I have been using these batteries for years and they are great. TBH they don't hold their charge for that long (if you dont use them) so I use them for high power items such as my camera and lights.

Mind you they seem to power my GH Guitar & Drums for ever, maybe about 3-4 weeks before they need changing (and we do use them a lot!!)

I use sanyo eneloop batteries. a lot cheaper than duracell, and they do exactly the same thing. Sanyo developed the slow discharge technology as well.
They work for me

I use 4 of those in my cam and get two weeks of power out of them. I paid about that price but bought them from eBay. Very pleased with them and I'm about to buy some more to power my rear lights now the winter months are on our door step.

What is the mah of these duracell?

Thought the name would make them slightly more expensive.

Numerous online places have them at £5.99 for 4, which seems reasonable to me. But I've not looked at much else yet.

The supremes are 2650mAh.

Hybrid user here - slightly less capacity than standard rechargeable batteries, but you'd not notice due to the charge holding being far better.

Former uniross user. Now Maplin bogstandard and Maplin hybrid user. Far better than anything uniross ever made but also a great deal more expensive unless on a sale.

Beginning to sound like 'active charge' at 2000mAh would be preferable to 'supreme' at 2650mAh if going with Duracell.

I know what started this now - advert in photo magazine, apparently active ones hold charge 5*supreme when not in use.

Now presume active ones are hugely expensive!

Apparently so. The duracell actives retail at about the same price as the maplin ones after the gigantic price rise .

What are you using them in?

Edit, no that's crap, apparently the maplin ones have gone down in price again http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=219932
One of the problems with the maplins is they are about 500 micrometres bigger which makes them very snug in some chambers.
