On reflection probably the wrong section to be posting this as I'm sure it wasn't a commuter as such who was involved. Anyhoo, to explain, just taken a short stroll along Hills Rd (Cambridge btw) and witnessed a young lycra clad fella and his racing bike involved in a bit of a "chat" with a pedestrian of shall we say .... more senior years. I didn't witness the incident which preceded it, but the pedestrian was politely and firmly explaining to the callow youth how he had x number of cycling years under his belt riding in Cambridge and a few near scrapes as a pedestrian and cyclist into the bargain; however he did not appreciate being confronted by someone on a bike riding along the pavement at 20mph while telling him to f**k off!! The pedestrian kept him in conversation for a good five minutes while he ensured he got his point across.

Were you that cyclist on the corner of the junction of Glisson Road and Hills Road around 3pm today (yellow waterproof CUUK cyle shorts)? Are you guilty as charged and suitably contrite or did I read the situation wrong. Care to feedback?

Not me either. Sounds like an unfortunate incident. There do seem to be a disproportionately high number of arrogant numpties in Britain's most over rated town. I avoid the place as much as possible tbh.

No walking stick involved

Pedestrian probably mid-sixties, with a height advantage over the cyclist who I'd guess as early twenties/Uni age. Just show's you don't have to get aggressive in order to put your point across, which I believe he was more than achieving

Certainly more than its fair share of RLJ'ers that's for sure.

I thought that my hard stare at a pavement cyclist had the desired affect as he got off his bike.... and felt really pleased  ... for all of 10 seconds .... turns out he was about to lock it up and go in the pub....

Obviously needed a stiff drink to recover. Had him quaking in his boots cycle shoes, I'm sure.

Yes you're right there. Seems a shame, I'm not Cambridge's biggest fan, (a lot of folk there always seem really grumpy for some reason- always a laugh to wind them up by being super cheerful!) but if it weren't for the high numbers of RLJing/ ninja morons, it would be a fine place to cycle.
Sounds like the ped had a good old go though- fair play to him.
