Just been announced that the company I work for has been aquired by Merck Inc. No idea what this means for us at the moment.

Does anyone on here work for Merck in the UK?

Aren't they a huge pharmaceuticals group?

Last I heard on the grapevine was thay they had just invented a new drug that enhances athletic performance by 15% but is undetectable on gas liquid chromatography and doesn't make your testicles shrivel up or women grow a beard. They were looking for volunteers to test it....

I once installed an instrument at the Merck site in.......New Jersey. I think.

Pharmaceutical company. They used to have a huge factory up in Cramington, Northumberland. As I've not been up that way for years I don't know if it's still there or not.

Yes it's the big Pharma company that has acquired us.

It's still there and looks to be there only UK manufacturing site from their website. They also have a Head Office Operation just north of London.
