Of course we feel unsafe, people always infringing traffic laws, penalties should be increased. All a bit obvious - doesn't need a survey to conclude this?
Yes, rather limited in its scope.
"This survey will allow PCCs to assess the strength of public feeling to make our roads safer and, I hope, give the Government the evidence it needs to act."
If I was in the Govt., I think I'd want somewhat more robust and more detailed data on which to act. Perhaps that exists elsewhere.
In the pre-amble information, it would have been helpful if the APCC had linked to the two reports:
"This poll follows the recent reports, including the Parliamentary Advisory Council on Transport Safety’s report into Roads Policing, and the HMICFRS Roads Policing – Not Optional report."
