Boiling oceans and searing air temperatures will render our planet uninhabitable in the distant future, University of East Anglia scientists claimed.

We do at least have time to book our tickets to Mars or any of the other 1,000 “suitable” planets detected so far, according to Andrew Rushby of the University of East Anglia
Rushby said: "We estimate that Earth will cease to be habitable somewhere between 1.75 and 3.25 billion years from now. After this point, Earth will be in the 'hot zone' of the sun, with temperatures so high that the seas would evaporate. We would see a catastrophic and terminal extinction event for all life.

Let's no worry about it now.
No species has ever managed to survive on earth for more than a couple of hundred million years, and 99% of all species that ever existed are now extinct, so there is no chance that humans will be around to see the end of the earth.

IF we get off the planet in numbers, and set up colonies on other planets or even in orbit then maybe we have the wherewithal to survive and cheat the natural extinction that most species seem to meet. However we are going to have to be a lot cleverer as a species than present evidence suggests!
