Yes its an Irish site shown, but it can come from anywhere. Even your local council.

There's are several similar ones going round purporting to be from the Met or Notts Dibble. A good reason to steer clear of the porn sites.

Informed via e-mail it was doing the rounds again.
The pictured one is a scam, as are most. But there is a genunine threat as well.

I've posted the less serious side of spam e-mails, just thought I'd post the more serious side as well.

Is this one of those 'CryptoLocker' type ones? It's ravaged a few businesses here in Canada - the company that Dad works for has had to clean up several machines recently because of it. A real pain to get rid of apparently.

It locks down the computer or mobile until payment has been received. Ransomware is the term, I think.

The current "FBI version" reflects recent events.
