Don't they give away carbon wheels when you buy a Planet X pro carbon frame. I know you don't want one, but could be onto a winner.
Are bikes disposable consumer goods?

If you replace everything long before it wears out because you prefer/hate black or you think a longer/shorter stem or a KMC/Wippermann chain would be nice a SMP/Adamo saddle cooler or Look/Speedplay pedals faster you don't get this problem - you get another one but we won't mention that here.
