I'd guess the sentiment of OP, excluding the ill, infirm, those unable to regulate heat...is there will still be a proportion of society that are oblivious to the risks and will obliviously overdo the sun, drink etc etc and the NHS will suffer for it.

No harm in the sentiment, perhaps just not put over in the best way (imho)

Suggesting I’m stupid is stupidity in itself, and without wanting to get into a pointless internet argument there are still things people can do to mitigate extremes.
Cool clothing, hydration, the cool place in the house etc etc etc…

My partner wore a hat, sun cream, drank plenty, but was still vomiting and shivering for 4 days after she sat out in the sun. She didn't realise that a lengthy hospital stay and recovering from an op would render her less resiliant to the sun. She did call herself stupid for doing it though

Not everyone can get out of the sun and sit around drinking iced drinks. Not everyone works in an air conditioned office. Some of us have to work whatever the weather.
