But thats what we are being forced into buying.
Indeed or will be soon. I'm sure my next car will be electric but hopefully not for at least 5 years and hopefully then electric cars will be cheaper to buy (and will have 15+ year longevity without needing an expensive new battery before then).
I do under 5000 miles a year at present (and yes I do need a car for elderly parent caring duties which can be at very short notice) so I don't need £30k of metal sitting on the drive most of the time, I'd rather my 30k sits in the bank earning some interest!
