I was laughing my socks off at some of their efforts earlier in the week/programme.
Felt quite sorry for the poor girl that fell off though.

they never had a chance .the old folk had about 150 years more riding experience between them then the young guys and girls and the bikes the kids were riding were really not your racing type bike , more of lets go to the shops , and the way the bikes were set up , not a hope of winning . these kids must be so proud of themselves and what they have become .

WTF - the Oldies on nice road bikes and the teens on hybrid type things... non starter really, I would have thought!! Quite amusing though.

I would've put them up against some grizzled old VTTA members. Would've saved money on flights and bought the whole thing in way under budget in terms of cash and somewhat over budget in terms of general humiliation.

One of the oldies bikes had tri bars, the teens had like nearly no chance of winning tbh.

Let me guess, they took a sample of pensioners who were either veteran cyclists or had always had an active lifestyle, and compared them with four sedentary teenagers?

I wonder what the result would be if you compared four RANDOM teenagers with four RANDOM pensioners?

I've been put to shame more than once by pensioners myself. Some of the old folks here in Norway are made of iron.

I wonder what the result would be if you compared four RANDOM teenagers with four RANDOM pensioners?

Never seen the show, but I imagine that is exactly the point, humiliation of the kids and a show of what you can do if you do maintain an active lifestyle.
