Never liked Queen; always thought they were pretentious, pseudo-classical wazzocks. And I could never take to the buck-toothed lead singer prancing around in 'theatrical' gear. It didn't help their cause when, as a radical anti-fascist, I discovered they'd played in the then blacklisted South Africa. I do like the Adele one while the Beatles speaks (sings) for itself and Oasis are merely a Beatles tribute act.

Looking at the top 40 all time best selling albums is rather grim reading-

Simply Red, Shania Twain, James Blunt, Leona Lewis, Spice Girls, Take That, Phil Collins, Scissor Sisters.

No Elvis or Stones. No Kinks or Bee Gees or even Bowie or Elton John who had endless great albums.
