Argos - Agh!!!

I have two orders in with Argos - one for a sofa, the other a bed. Phoned me beginning of April and said both were delayed. Said they'd call mid-May to arrange sofa delivery and towards end of April for bed. So, they phoned last week to arrange delivery and agreed today. 06:45 this morning, phone goes "Hello, we'll be round in 10 minutes with your sofa". Agh!!!! I have an empty bedroom with no bed to go in it and a living room with the old suite still in it. Meanwhile hall completely blocked by new sofa. Which is nice.

Gawd knows where bed is then. A bit irritating that they charge your credit card as soon as you hit the order button but then decide to take weeks longer than they allege to turn up with the goods. Must be those Somalian pirates holding up the container ship.

I almost bought my bed from the Co-op, maybe I should have done... Argos seem to like getting their automated system to phone up to tell you about delays, so you don't even get a real person!!

We've just bought a bed from the Co-op online bed store. Great customer service, very good price, and kept updated throughout.

They even rang to say that there would be a delay because the manufacturer hadn't made it yet, and to ask whether I still wanted to go ahead with the order. After my fiasco with M&S, I was more than happy to.
