They look a little weather beaten .. to be on the safe side I'd change them if they were on my bike

They look fine to me.... I use Armadillos on my MTB (26 x 1.95 Hemispheres) and on my Tricross (700 x 28 Nimbus). The Nimbus ones have done a few thousand miles and still look good.
The sidewalls on yours look slightly tatty, but unless there are bulges then I would think that they are structurally sound. I assume also that you have disc brakes, or you just don't use the rim brakes?
