I think almost everyone would succumb and do this eventually.

Some might last until old age and ill health, and then do it. But most people if faced with being the only one left, after a period of searching for other(s) would give up on life. This could take a few months or a few years depending on the individual.

If it happened tomorrow, I'd be gone regardless in 3-4 years once the pacemaker / defib battery goes flat.
You'd have learnt how to fit one yourself before then!

Only if the zoo keepers had died with the cage keys in the lock or in their pockets

I've seen Jurassic Park! Life always finds a way!!

On a bike related view, have a ride down a few junctions on the M1 and set sector times that would never be bettered for all eternity - unless I had another go.

Then bug out to somewhere on the coast and spend my days watching the horizon for approaching ships...
Anyone in control of them though?

Im not what you might call technically savvy, so l was wondering if in the situation of zero human life except one, would the internet still work and would power stations keep going for a while at least ? If so my dog and l would find our way to the nearest marina, nick a suitable yacht and head off into the wide blue yonder...but l need internet for nav and weather info. :cuppa:

A ship and a star to stear her by. The weather, there's other ways of getting the required information.

That's the question isn't it? I've seen Resident Evil...;)
Well if everyone else has gone, did they have time to stop the engines first!!

It will never happen because, as human beings, we love and care for one another too much. No single head of state would ever dream of creating a global genocide.:blush:

Thats true of course but having once owned and sailed a small gaff-cutter l know what l would prefer in the way of plotting a course. On the other hand what the hell just spin a pencil on the chart table and head in the direction it points to when it stops ( hopefully not inland)

Im going to a massive firework display and piss up on the river Lot tonight. It happens every year, loads of people, food and drink and naff all health and safety stuff. So it could be a French armageddon of sorts. ^_^

Sounds fun! I went to a similar fete on the Dordogne once. A lot of boozed up locals were blasting clays by floodlight out over the river. Magic.
