Have to bring thorn tandem back to thorn on Monday for some mods to fit kids on back, and a full service.

I have the day there while they do the work. Just realised Kettwiesel will also fit in car so a days riding to be had and a day off work.

So why post here???
Well I am after any cycle routes around bridgewater but trike friendly.
I am put off by canal paths due to gates and other trike obstacles that occur along canal paths....

So anyone know of a good route 30-50miles without too many hills (slowly rebuilding knee issues) or a few pretty villages or pubs around there I can plan a tour around.

Many thanks

[pedant]There's only 1 e in Bridgwater [/pedant]

Not sure about routes specifically but to the east and north east of Bridgwater are parts of the Somerset levels (including some of the areas flooded earlier this year) so some areas without many hills at all

The only times I've ridden near Bridgwater have been along the Taunton/Bridgwater Canal but I would think you could do some sort of circular route to Street via Westonzoyland --> Othery and then back via Ashcott, Shapwick, Chilton Polden, Woolavington avoiding the A39. The A361 goes from Othery to Street and is also pretty busy and though I've never cycled along it, I wouldn't think it was as dodgy as the A39. Perfeclty capable of avoiding it if you want to go round the lanes though.

Otherwise heading in the direction of Wedmore would give access to more quieter roads, maybe a few lumps near the Bridgwater end.

Certainly find a few nice village pubs round those areas
