Sorry if this is a stupid question but have managed to pick one of these up ratherly cheaply and have a question about sizing.

Mine fits slightly looser than the picture but is long enough etc. Brand new with Tags so didnt want to wear it out on the bike and then find it flapping and annoying me at all. Do these work better tighter or slightly 'relaxed' without being loose?

Although a 'bargain' still too expensive to just wear once and not get on with!

Thanks for any tips or advice

it's just a plastic bag at the end of the day - they will all flap to a certain degree. I have something similar (not an Assos) which I carry in a back pocket for emergencies, I wouldn't want to wear one on the bike for any length of time, as you will just boil...

Assos is very nice stuff , albeit ridiculously priced. But why do their models always look like complete twonks? Do they seriously think anyone aspires to look that much of a dick?

I've had one of these for years and can definitely say they are not just plastic bags and you definitely don't boil in them. they will flap a bit but it so light you hardly notice

I am normally an XLG (XXL) in Assos so went for that. It is so stretchy and giving I just wondered if it may be worth risking an XL. From what you are saying, I guess go with the looser (than other ASSOS gear) fit of this? Guess it allows a wider range of stuff underneath as well?

Thanks for reply and 'reassurance'.

when i got mine i was definitely a large, but now i would say I'm between L and XL but i still wear it and it fits really good. be careful how you wash the jacket and don't wear a ruck sack over it as the jacket is quite delicate. can i ask where you got it as mine is only good as a wind breaker now (wore a ruck sack) and was thinking of getting a new one

a smaller size will be tighter around the shoulders and have shorter arms - is that what you want?
I'm usually a XL or XXL in most cycling brands - in Assos I'm XXL or even XXXL!
I agree that although they make some nice kit, it is overpriced for what you get - I would really only buy Assos Shorts, as they are really good and £100 isn;t completely insane consdiering that £65 shorts from other companies are often complete rubbish.

Picked it up in Wiggle sale - think it was 40% off and then an extra 10% code worked
