I can't see it from Northampton...

Crap! I was week and truely asleep last night.

I've checked the data and 6 pm was the highest peak last night and whilst we had a good to great earth shadow here we didn't have any northern lights at all. Earlier in the holiday would have been better if someone had spoken me rather than thinking it just looked like the glow of a housing estate to the north of us and simply coming to bed without waking me (or engaging his brain!)

I lie, it was at 5pm BST not 6pm.. Twas 6pm UT. Wouldn't have seen anything at that time, in fact we were only just back from another lap of the loch and the evening light was stunning!

Still only a yellow alert not an amber though, so currently only very far north of Scotland stands a chance... Really need it over 100nT but the last reading was it dropping off... Well see and keep checking but it's rather cloudy here at the moment. Due to clear up later.
To reach KP6 in the next 30 mins...
it'll show if it reaches that at my location..

apparently KP 6.7 at 20.30..
and its cloudy outside..
