I purchased a Ribble 'Audax,/'Winter' bike via our C2W scheme a few weeks ag

Over the past few days, it's developing an odd habit......

When recommencng pedalling after freewheeling, sometimes it'll change up a gear!?

It's the Tiagra groupset, which is one I've not had before, some can't compare like for like

Never had the problem on any of my other bikes (RX100, 105 & Ultegra, from1994 up to 2010)

Gear changing is generally okay, so I don't think it's cable stretch, but haven't retensioned them yet to try to eliminate that factor (might try it, just to remove the question

Is this a known problem with Tiagra?, or have I got a 'Friday STI lever'?

It could be a cheap cable, I do not know if it is true but personally I found cheap cables stretch quicker than the more "expensive" cables, I think the more expensive ones are pre-stretched(whatever that means).

Cables stretch when new, this is very common, you'll need to do the same for your brakes at some point as well.
