Not sure if it wasn't a ploy for some parental quality time ^_^ we were given half a pommy and a pin each as kids. I do like them, but I also remember them lasting for ages back then :tired:

We have a Continental Supermarket!!?? When did this happen?
Two, in fact - there is a second one (not as good IMO) in the old Fforde Green pub on Roundhay Road. What I like is the huge range of herbs, spices, fruit, cosmetics etc for everyone from Afro-Caribbean, through Greek and Polish, to Asian and even some Chinese stuff. Even sheep's forelegs, all fur and bone. But no pork, because only filthy filthy people eat pork. No alcohol either, come to that, despite its profitability.

I can't really remember how I ate them, all I know is that it was a complete faff. I'll have to remember your method for the future incidentally, thanks!
Er... many people find pomegranate pith very bitter. My method gives you some.

Does this CC Continental Supermarket also have decent bikes for sale as well as other cycling related items?

I was doing it wrong, yes, I get it!

Three cricket ball sized pommies for £1 in CC Continental Supermarket in Chapeltown Road a moment ago, Vernon.

[@MDB, I have a basic eating approach. I cut them into quarters, the same as I would an orange, bend them slightly to lever most of the pith out of the way, and just eat everything else. Best done over the sink, mind you.]

The ones at Morrisons are a bit bigger than cricket balls and cost fifty pence. Seeing that volume has a cubic relationship with radius, they might be on a par with yours regarding value for money.

My eating method, until quite recently, was very much the same as yours and evolved to avoid the spilling of juice and spare seeds over the kitchen work surfaces and floor.

I now quarter them and de-seed them into a bowl then sit down with a spoon and eat them in a more relaxed and civilised manner. There's much less wastage too.
