OT - but what has happened to the mad South African guy who used to be on Channel 5 chasing dangeorus snakes like the black mamba, tiger snakes, deadly taipans and giant pythons. He knew a lot about all sorts of animals not just snakes. He did a brilliant programme in the Australian outback.
I think Oddy ruffled a few feathers at the beeb which might have co-incided with him being not so well and as a result he was side lined. He may suffer from debilitating depression like the brilliant Monty Don who also had to curtail his gardening programmes due to illness like Oddy has with AW which was a great pity. Chris Packham is ok though. A good photographer as well. The others I can take 'em or leave 'em.
