Sounds great, unless your using a different method to calculating your average speed. Strava is great for the ego as it seems to only include your moving time but my Garmin includes the total time which can reduce your average speed when stopped at lights and the like.

My Garmin 200 is set to record only moving time.

Air not as thick as it used to be, or being a bit more selective on the days you ride.

In truth hopefully you are getting fitter, I have mates in their seventies going faster and further than they did in their sixties.

Go into settings and select auto-pause. Under options, select When Stopped and every time you are not moving, Garmin will bleep to let you know it is not recording anyone and bleeps again as soon as you move .

From the starting screen, press the lower right button to open Settings
Use the right lower button again to scroll down to Auto Pause
Press the lower left button to select Auto Pause
Now you can scroll through the options (Off, When Stopped, Custom Speed)
Press the left hand lower button to select your choice ( I have mine set to When Stopped)

What's the range for custom speed on a Garmin autopause? Couldn't you just set it to say 20mph or something? That'd get your averages up.

Didn't realise that is what that selection is for either. I really will need to start reading the instructions.
