Avid BB5 pads

Looking to get a couple of pairs as spares to put on my Tricross, can someone reccomend the best ones to get? Decent places to buy from?
Or any other makes/pads that would be compatible, and do a similar job?

Cheers Colin, will probably go for those unless other BB5 owners/users know different.
1st time I've used disc brakes, have to say I'm liking 'em so far
Have read some reports of people only getting 700ish miles from a pair of the OME ones, that would be a new pair every 7 weeks for me

Is that on-road or off-road though? I wouldn't have thought that disk brakes used on-road only would wear very quickly.

Ah, good point hadn't thought about that.
Plus I am very light on the brakes unless I'm doing one of your forum rides and get scared down the big hills

Potsy, The Tektro discs on my hybrid have done over 2k so far and pads are 1/2 worn at most (and that is with me taking them out and sanding the faces a few times to stop squealling) but I have to admit I suspect braking performance is starting to fall off a little so bought some shimano ones the other day to throw in the front as an experiment. I would keep your money in your pocket for the time being as it is likely to be at least 12-18 months before you wear the originals out.
