We are superior in EVERY conceivable way to Yorkshire (beer excepted) so let's see it start in Lancaster and go up to 'Lakes (Furness historically North Lancs), down over the Trough of Bowland (where many tours of Britain have enjoyed) and finishing in Colne.

I hope the bid is successful, it would be great to see a stage come through Sheffield! The old Milk Race, back in Malcolm Elliotts heyday put in an appearance or two.

Good pitch, but I think it would probably have to finish in France.

That would be a long stage then, wouldn't it? Would they have to pedal-o across the channel?

And of course I maintain that Lancashire is incomparably superior in nearly every way to that sink of evil, Yorkshire.

I agree, last summer I was nearly run down twice by the same thirty stone woman on a mobility scooter in Blackburn........now if that happened to the Schleck brothers lichtenstein would declare war on us :-)
