Not really the Tour de France if it's in Yorkshire....since when was it the Tour o't Dales?
You could have a special stage weaving through the stationary traffic on the M6.Yorkshire! Why go to an inferior county when it could come to God's own Lancashire? We are superior in EVERY conceivable way to Yorkshire (beer excepted) so let's see it start in Lancaster and go up to 'Lakes (Furness historically North Lancs), down over the Trough of Bowland (where many tours of Britain have enjoyed) and finishing in Colne.
Good pitch, but I think it would probably have to finish in France.![]()
I agree, last summer I was nearly run down twice by the same thirty stone woman on a mobility scooter in Blackburn........now if that happened to the Schleck brothers lichtenstein would declare war on us :-)
