Back of my legs hurt after long distances

Someone messed with my bike on a service a few weeks ago now my legs ache after long distances the top part of my calf aches after 25 miles and becomes impossible after 40 could this be due to position of the saddle

Possibly. Does it feel "wrong" to ride? Like awkward or uncomfortable?

All other things being equal, yes. Make sure you're drinking plenty too as that might be a factor.

It feels painful evertime you bend your leg. I drink a fair bit as today it was sort of sunny

If the position is moved more than a couple of mm's then you need to set it back then re-adjust slowly - that's saying the new position is correct. ?
