Had various bikes and until today only had a folding bike in current stable. Wanted another mtb and didnt want new but an older one I can have fun with. Am getting a 2001 Klein Mantra Race and cant wait to get it. I look forward to some good chats and getting advice.

That sounds like a really fine Bicycle there. The Mantra was a very much sought after bicycle in it's time, and now.

I am sure it will more than suit my needs, thanks. I guess there are different points of view on Klein, but I am not bothered, the spec seems good, it is light and it looks good – that’s all I want in a bike. It’s not like I am Greg Minnaar or anything, it’s just for fun.
I guess you could pay 1000’s for a good spec full sus bike but I am not prepared to spend that kind of money. I guess for most of us mortals as long as you have a half-way decent bike then that’s fine, as probably most errors while riding will be due to human deficiency anyway
Thanks again
