Car drivers have been super cautious and considerate recently due to the state of the roads.

Unfortunately our local council have done an excellent job and the main roads are clear.

This has resulted in the standard of driving dropping back to normal, maybe it is drivers being less careful, returning drivers who were too scared to drive or using it as an excuse not to drive when the roads were bad.

Oh well, only one ride left this afternoon before the break until next year and only 0.5km needed to reach my target of doubling last years total, then a drink to celebrate this achievement.

The roads are quiet in South Manchester - well not near supermarkets though. I've driven today as I need a few last minute bits (beer actually)...

I've seen a few examples of folk driving too quickly - the roads aren't that great.

Anyway, that's two callendar years (just) of commuting without getting knocked off.....whoop !!!

Got my Christmas alcohol supplies last night while buying the Christmas food supplies, compared to time before the family arrived not very much alcohol at all.

Haven't been knocked off yet, although this is my first full year of road commuting.

When I cycled in the other day the roads were very icy but motorists still drive like they are invincible, but I kept thinking, if you could see the roads how I see them, you would not drive like that

I agree that if some clowns realised what the surface is like at our level then maybe they would take it easy,when i'm driving i just drive like i'm on the bike with loads of space behind the next car.

I havn t been knocked off in 35 years, Mind you Ive fallen off thousands of times !
