After leaving a life in London behind roughly 10 years ago my cycle commuting days were done, I had spent 8 glorious years riding through the capital daily, in all weathers, I enjoyed it immensely. With the move to employment closer to home and company vehicle I lost something I had loved, I carried on riding socially for a few years but eventually stopped all together. After being unable to factor in cycling to my daily routine for many years I now have the opportunity to do just that, i now work at a holiday park that is approximately 4 miles from home, not a huge commute by any means but I'm hoping the love returns for me, it's a very different commute to the hustle and bustle of city riding, instead I have about a mile through my village followed by a few miles of country B road with a short but challenging climb to top it off. I've spent the last few weeks sourcing a bike and recuperating the kit that has been lost to a few house moves and the tip. I've got a nice "middle of the road" ROUX road bike and a nice new lid to start me off. One of the things I loved about having cycling as part of my life for so long was the CC forums, today while fettling with the bike I was reminded of this and made a mental note to log in and start contributing again. So hopefully I'll be chatting with a few of you over the coming years and find my love of two wheels over four again!

Thanks for having me back

Well, write it down boy ......
Excellent! Another convert. When I worked, my commute was the best part of the day (and I really liked my job).
