I saw some really bad driving this morning so thought I would email the company name on the back of the van! Good idea, except the email address doesn't work! Anyone got any ideas? I don't really fancy phoning them up.

Hello,

This morning I saw someone in a Liftec van, in three separate incidents, knock a cyclist off his bike, cut in in-front of a cyclist then brake hard to intimidate him(almost had him off too) and almost driving into a cyclist before dropping a blond woman off at Bermondsey Tube at around 8:20am on the 21st of Jan 2010. (this is actually the reverse order they happened in). He then got out of the van and told everyone they need to be more careful.

You should have a word, get him some driving lessons? He was about 6 foot, short brown hair, pale skin with a faint foreign accent.

Ask to speak to a Senior Manager or Director (admittedly you might be pushing your luck with the 2nd one but if the company is worth their salt they should be accommodating.)

Knocked someone off? You're a witness to a crime, don't just write to the company, call Plod.

Just read what you were going to send. I'd phone them, it's serious so worth it! You might get fobbed off if they have receptionists (that's what I found with Anglian buses)

Phone them and tell the receptionist you'd like to make a formal complaint against the behaviour of a member of staff. Ask for someone to get in touch with you and leave a number and convenient time for them to call.

Plank, if you Google "Director Liftec Ltd" , you will get a result on Linkedin of the name of the Office Manager & PA to the chairman of Liftec Ltd which might be helpful if you decide to phone or post the complaint.

Ah thanks, I think I will send a letter now and leave it to anyone who was actually effected if they want to go any further. If it happens again I would definitely remember to take the number plate.

Is it true that police take reports of bad drivers (including mobile phone use) seriously once enough reports of the same number plate racks up? Do you think video footage helps? Would it be worth making a sticky with that information in this section, as I'm sure bad drivers drive badly all the time and have seen quite a few people share the same commute including mine, A21 to London, so reports would add up.

I would call the police having been witness to apparently a hit and run, intimidation, and driving without due care and attention (could probably go for wreckless driving).

An e-mail can be ignored. A letter can be ignored. Losing his job and driving license would hopefully knock some sense into the twat.
