Bad idea? (radiator near bike)

Hey guys, I've just moved into a new house and for various reasons my bike needs to be stored in my room (luckily ground floor!), However the only bike-sized spare bit of wall would result in my bike overlapping the radiator...am I correct in my instinct that this is probably not a good idea in the winter when the heating is on?

I think I'm going to have to rearrange the whole layout of the room

Provided its not a carbon frame it's perfectly safe (extremes of temp age the epoxy matrix). It'll dry the bike out thoroughly when you being it home damp. Whichever bike I'm commuting on that week gets stored in the porch next to the radiator.

Get a cycle winch:

I put my bike near the computer in the bedroom.Next day the odometer was registering double speed.Don't know whether it was related to this fact.Moved it to the kitchen and it was fine after that. Now I've moved the other bike to the bedroom and plan to use it tomorrow.Wonder if I will get the same effect.

Mtfu and turn the radiator off 12 months of the year if worried about the bike  the environment will thank you and you'll save money for bike upgrades too, win win ;)

Provided the room temperature is below 100 degrees C, or 200 F, you should be fine. Although if the room was at that temperature, then my guess is the condition of the bike would be the least of your problems.
