You really need to learn how to post properly. Your really not very efficient. If your talking about someone in particular it's best just to name them. Saves a lot of words. You really do need to get a copy of Forumcraft. I've learned a lot from it.....
Clearly it doesn't teach one how to spell.

It does, but as I've constantly said (why do you proletarians not listen to me!) we all have something that we can still learn. I shall go back and read it forthwith!

Incredible itch to be really 'peddantic' here.......

NickB: There is a degree of the 'Holier Than Thou' attitude here sometimes but it's more often than not delivered in a good-natured way.

I started a thread on this perceived uber-arrogance a while ago (here). None of us are 'Kings of the Road' and to believe we are somehow impervious to danger because of our 'superior' cycling technique is incredibly naive and dangerous. I'm sure most people don't think like this, it's the ones that do that would worry me.

I suspect, however, that the OP wasn't interested in helping others, but in improving his 'cred'.
I suspect the OP was curious. It's an unusual thing to be doing, pedalling with the heel, so where better to ask about why someone might be doing that sort of thing that on a cycling forum where people might be able to provide reasons why (which they have).

Thats..... I mean that's the one!

I though the mistake was that the cape in your avatar didn't go with the colour of your eyes...:biggrin::biggrin:

Yup. Put up or shut up.

Perhaps we need an independent scorer like Bill 'Bearded Wonder' Frindall who would be charged with keeping a historic archive of all posts. He could then file them into Pro/ Con special boxes (RLJing, helmet-wearing, individual posters' attitudes) and we could request each as evidence if challenged.

A brilliant idea, I nominate LLB.

Some of you lot are bloody touchy in here. Maybe its just me, but i thought seeing a rider kitted out in all his lycra on his road bike adopting an unorthodox riding style was unusual. What was meant to be a humble thread starter turned into a 'hollier than' bash...

Oh, and dont get me started on the resident typo cops in here...

Sorry - I don't think I've jumped on a typo before this thread, but couldn't help myself.... and then you managed a real festive typo above so I couldn't help it again ;)

(Don't worry about people being touchy though - once you've been on the forums for a while you'll realise that it's par for the course. I remember getting jumped on for what I thought was an innocent posting when I was new-ish around here too.)
