If the cull were to be stopped, the cullers would be unemployed and hence claiming benefits and causing a greater burden on the welfare state.
And further, I am not aware of a single badger claiming benefits (unless a Daily Mail reader would like to educate me)
So on this information alone by letting the cull go ahead we are helping to control the UK's welfare bill whilst at the same time creating a readily available source of cheap meat for the down at heal masses.
Let it go ahead I say and put me down for 2 kilo's of badger steak. I bet it tastes a lot like red squirrel.
