As I understand it, it's permissible, as long as a blessing is said for the animal before it is hunted/shot.

Last summer there was a beauty of a pheasant lying rather motionless in the road opposite the cafe where we stop on the Gower. I asked the girl serving if they had a large carrier bag handy. When I explained why I wanted one she thought I was joking, Fairweather said I wasn't, and whilst we were having a coffee a car stopped and the driver picked the large bird up and put it in the boot of the car and drove off!!!!!!!:wacko:
