Does anyone here wear bamboo clothing?
If you do a Google search for "bamboo clothing", lots of stuff comes up at reasonable prices.
I'm attracted to it because (a) it's not that expensive and (
I am led to believe that it is a far more "eco friendly" product that cotton because the bamboo grows so fast and is grown "wild" - i.e. they just stick it in the ground and watch it grow, without the need for intensive farming techniques (e.g. chemicals).
From a consumer point of view, I'd be interested to know how well bamboo clothing keeps its shape as compared to cotton clothing. Currently I buy those multi-packs of t-shirts from ASDA; but after a few washes they end up like something that would look good on Quasimodo.
If bamboo keeps its shape and is as "eco-friendly" as the vendors would have us believe, I think it could be the way forward ...
