Huh??? How can you say that??? Oh ok some of the later, more commercial stuff was below their previous high standard but I don't think they can be called weak . Just listen to RHCP version of Under the Bridge compared with whatever the stoopid girl band who sang it's version, now that's weak!!

They did some great stuff early on but it all seemed to go blandly downhill after 'One Hot Minute' IMO.

You can cut them a bit of slack for the cover art on 'Happy Trails' can't you?

An easy cop out is to just name any crap band and their name must be better than they are - so UB40!

I can only think of good bands with crap names - Prefab Sprout and Decon Blue - I am sure they would have had more success with a better band name.

I had a mate who seemed pretty normal and sensible who for some unknown reason actually liked UB40 and even bought some of their records. Come to think of it he liked OMD too, crap band with a name to match.

The name sounds like a 1960's psycadellic hard rock band with a leather clad singer, tatoos, long hair, lazer stage show, Support to Ozzy Osborn at Woodstock

In reality they were a 1980's psycadellic hard rock band with a leather clad singer, tatoos, long hair, lazer stage show, Support to Alice Cooper at Wemberly
They were pretty good in their day

I was about to mention them, great name with a so-so sound.

Urge Overkill is another one, never quite lived up to their name.

Also Big Audio Dynamite who failed to live up to their name and the collective history of the band members.
