Bankruptcy and inheritance

I’m an executer of a will but one of the beneficiaries has been bankrupt twice, the last time about 8 years ago. I don’t know if they ever paid to be protected for this type of thing. I know my brother in law has.
The thing is this person doesn’t deserve a penny. It’s all such a waste what ever way it goes.

Sorry, but i do have to agree with the above poster. As executor, it is just your job to ensure that the deceased's wishes are carried out. Whether you like what they wanted , or how you feel towards the people who are to recieve something is really not your concern.

That may or may not be true, but it has no part to play in your role as executor.

It's not your assets. Whatever you think of the recipients, you need to follow the will as written. Otherwise you are disrespecting the wishes of the deceased

More than that, you can be held personally (financially) liable for the breach of duty.

Yep. There's listing assets, paying bills, tax etc. Are you the only executor?
