His stuff really doesn't appeal to me so I haven't been to the exhibition yet, not because I think he's merely a good but self indulgent cartoonist with a feeling for self promotion rather than an 'artist' - but have you seen the bloody queues outside Bristol Museum!!??

I've not seen anything like it since I went to the Tutankhamen show at the British Museum in 1972 as a school kid!

I take delight in telling people who have already been queuing for hours that it's a load of crap anyway. I've also signed a few autographs - who would know anyway? xx(

All the bits I have seen in Londinium where really good and his book is a good buy as well.

spoke to my neighbour this morning, she went with her daughter-in-law and grandson but apparently the queue estimate was 4 hours so they said, err, no.

and neither would i queue that long for anything. unless it was a queue for a free jam donut.

Took the family there last week including the MIL. Queued for 2 hours in the rain. Worth every minute. Fun looking around the rest of the museum looking for the 'Banksy-isms' in amongst the regular exhibits. Watching 2 old and distinguished-looking ladies spotting and then giggling at the pink dildo amongst the stalagmites warmed the cockles. The show was enjoyed by young and old alike. Clever, witty and thought provoking.
Bristol's right to have pride in its imaginative son...

Take a chance, go see it before it finishes.

They were going to knock this old delapidated building down on the edge of Chinatown in Liverpool until someone pointed out that the muriel on the side of it was an actual Banksy. They have left the thing alone but it looks really out of place amongst all the new buildings down there.

I want to go - but keep meaning to cycle past and work out when the best time to start queuing is. I like his work but I'm surprised at the number of people from out of town that are turning up to see it - I thought it would tail off over the summer.

I was waiting for it to tail off too but I get the impression that interest has increased massively. Judging by my daily trip past there, you need to be queueing by at least 8am to avoid waiting hours.
