I have recently re- taped 4 of my bikes with Cinelli tape. The sticky finishing tape was rubbish, and within an hour of doing each I needed insulating tape to finish the job off.

I put electrical tape on first to secure then put the nice fancy strips on top to make it look nice.

Gaffer tape also works, if you have that. Split it into strips about 10mm or 1/2" wide.
TBH, pretty much any black tape will do the trick. Celeste insulating tape is sadly not a thing...

I think the finishing tape is purely decorative, it covers the insulation tape that actually does the holding job.

I've already bought myself a new bike!

I find it cheaper to just sort the bar tape out myself, but I'm a bit old-fashioned like that.

Use the funky yellow/green striped earth electrical tape for an extra snazzy look.
