I have been told that before I put my bike on the EBE trailer, I have to turn the handlebars. How do I do this?

Undo the bolts on the stem.

On Ahead stems, there are two allen bolts which clamp the bar stem to the steerer - just loosen them- located on the back of the stem (facing you as you sit on the bike).

On older standard headsets, just lossen the allen bolt where the stem goes into the steerer !

Old headsets - the stem goes into the steerer, aheadsets, the stem clamps onto the steerer. With old headsets you need two big spanners to adjust them, on aheadsets you just use the top allen bolt on the stem to tighten.

If you have the modern Ahead type, loosen the stem clamp bolt/s and turn (nip them up to stop the bars swinging about), check the headset bearings haven't come a bit loose when you re-align them. If you have the older quill type, loosen the bolt in the top of the stem and turn the stem and bars and again lightly tighten up. The headset bearings are unaffected on this type of system.
