Does anyone know how to send log on credentials via a batch file in windows?

Sorry I can't help, but I read that as "Batch flies into window" and opened the thread to see what a flying batch was!

Thanks - will look into those options. I have Linux on my laptop, but the desktop that runs all the time here has to be Windows: it was bought specifically to run a piece of software that is Windows only.

It may have Powershell already, depending on the Windows you have.

In some respects, it's better than *NIX scripting, in others, it's so maddeningly over wordy and complicated that I long to be back in Solaris. Don't write it off though, it does a lot of things very well.
